Topsy’s social data APIs enable brands to glean actionable insights from Twitter data

Topsy announced the launch of social data APIs that enable B2B marketers to integrate Twitter’s firehose of data directly into social dashboards and applications.

Topsy provides three kinds of APIs: The metrics API provides instant exact counts for any term or set of terms, hashtag, Twitter handle or phrase, as well as tweet counts, sentiment scores, geographic distribution of mentions and potential impressions; the insights APIs pinpoint influencers related to a topic and related terms; and the content APIs give access to top tweets, links, photos and videos, as well as URL and author analysis.
